Yana Rodgers, Ph.D.

Yana Rodgers is Associate Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University.  She teaches courses and conducts research on quantitative methods in feminist research; gender and economic development; women and global labor movements; and women, culture, and society. Many of her studies have focused on East and South Asian economies, and she has traveled to and lived in Asia to conduct her research. Dr. Rodgers serves on the state board of Junior Achievement of New Jersey, and she serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Feminist Economics.  She maintains a regular consulting relationship with the World Bank and the United Nations. She received her BA in economics from Cornell University in 1987 and her Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in1993.
