Chrystal McArthur is associate director at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, Career Services. She is a National Certified Counselor and a National Certified Distance Counselor with over 30 years of professional experience working with high school students and college students as well as adults.
Presently, she supervises a staff of counselors who provide career counseling to undergraduate and graduate student as well as alumni of the university. Some of her special interests include mid-career transitions, career development issues of people with disabilities, women’s career development needs as well as special issues surrounding students of color.
She has presented workshops on a variety of career related issues for colleges, community groups, business and industry, and professional associations.
Ms. McArthur holds an A.B in psychology and a M.Ed. in counseling. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Middle Atlantic Counseling Association, The National Association of Colleges and Employers and the Metropolitan New York City Placement Officers Association.
Her motto is taken from Homer and is as follows: “Always to be the best and to be distinguished above all the rest.” This is what she expects of herself and her staff. This is what she wants for her clients—only the best.
