Amy Mallet

President, Amsley Promotions

 

As President of Amsley Promotions, Amy set out to accomplish her vision of creatively helping clients build their businesses.  Her company provides promotional products imprinted with client’s logo or message utilized in marketing and communications programs.  Amsley Promotions received the coveted “Diamond Award” from the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York, a competition recognizing creative excellence in the industry.  She serves as an industry Advocate for the Promotional Products Association.  As a trained speaker, she discusses the merits of using promotional products in business marketing plans with various business groups.

Amy received her BA degree in Communications from Hunter College, CUNY, and holds an MBA in Marketing Management from Baruch College, CUNY.  Her accomplished career combines over 25 years of managerial and business experience.  She earned her designations as a Certified Advertising Specialist by the Promotional Products Association.  In addition to giving seminars to various business groups, she has been quoted in The Counselor, a well-respected industry publication, and featured in the Asbury Park Press “On the Run” business section.

Her leadership and personal commitment is exhibited in her community as well.  In the 2007 political arena, Amy was a State Assembly candidate in the 12th Legislative District in New Jersey.  Her leadership skills has lead to spending countless hours working on solutions to improve our community on issues including ethics reform, property tax relief, state fiscal problems and access to affordable healthcare.  She shares her business acumen and political savvy with others in the interest of achieving positive changes in our society.  Amy currently serves as National Partner for Women Impacting Public Policy, the nation’s largest bi-partisan women’s business group.  She is the former Co-chair of the WIPP National Partners Advisory Board for the Communications Council.  She was a Co-captain for a very successful NJ Luncheon commemorating the ratification of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution in conjunction with a voter registration drive.  Amy served as President-Elect, Central Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).  She has served as a member of the NAWBO National Political Action Committee.

Amy was honored with a Resolution presented by the New Jersey State Senate commending outstanding record of service and commitment to her community after being nominated for the Athena Award.  She was selected to receive the Platinum Stare Award for public Policy Advocate from the Central Jersey chapter of NAWBO. In October 2006, she was named the honoree of the Bridge building award from this organization.  In 2006, she received the National Public Policy Chapter Advocate of the Year Award from NAWBO at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City.  In 2007, Amy was recognized as a recipient of the NJBIZ Best 50 Women in Business award.

In the local community, Amy helped to raise funds for the Monmouth Medical Center Oncology Radiation Department for renovations; she established and maintained a database of volunteers within the Fair Haven school system, coordinating the delivery of donated meals to families during times of hardship.  She served as a Trustee for Congregation B’nai Israel, Rumson, NJ.  As the chair of the Showcase of Israeli Arts, she directed the largest art show and sale in the U.S. exclusively exhibiting works of Israeli artists.  She also served as the Public Affairs Officer for the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 5-7 in New York City.

She has traveled to Asia, Africa and Europe as well as to destinations throughout the USA and Caribbean. When she is at her home base in Fair Haven, New Jersey, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two teenage children.
