Academic Team (Rutgers University)

Allied Health Professions Club of Rutgers University

  • The purpose of the organization shall be to educate students about the less known, but equally respectable allied health profession careers that are often outshined by the more common careers in medicine, nursing, dentistry and optometry. Instead, we would like to help to shine light on allied health careers, such as physician assistants, athletic training, physical, occupational, and speech therapies, medical technologists, radiology technicians, registered dieticians and other careers in medicine that are often overlooked. Our organization differs from others at Rutgers University in the fact that it revolves solely around the allied health professions and sheds light on these careers that otherwise might be overshadowed by more well-known careers in medicine, dentistry, optometry and nursing.

American Medical Student Association
