Leadership Quest
Who: Incoming first year students
What: Summer Introduction to Rutgers
Why: Get a head start on the school year and develop essential leadership skills!

Come and jumpstart your college career by joining your peers for a fun filled pre-orientation session. Leadership Quest is a four day, three night retreat designed to give first year students a chance to explore their leadership skills, connect with peers and upperclassman and to learn how to get involved at Rutgers. Students will get a chance to:
- Meet other first year students and interact with upperclassmen student leaders
- Go to an adventure course and develop team building skills
- Engage with administration in an informal way
- Learn and develop basic leadership skills, such as group dynamics, leadership styles and presentation skills
- Interact with upperclassmen and learn how to get involved on campus
- HAVE FUN
Cost of the Program
Each participant will be required to pay $325. This will include all lodging, meals, transportation, materials and adventure initiatives. There are scholarships available for a select number of students.

Interested in being a Leadership Quest Guide?
- What does a Leadership Quest Guide do?
As a trained Leadership Quest Guide, you will guide approximately 40 incoming first-year students during a four day workshop. You will be their guide as they learn the ins and outs of what a leader is and the responsibilities that come with being a leader. - Who should apply?
Leadership Quest Guides should be students who can deal with stressful conditions, think creatively, and solve problems. Leadership Quest Guides should be able to take initiative, be willing to work with a diverse population and use different leadership styles. Enthusiasm, passion and commitment to the development of leadership are essential. Working well with team mates and utilizing group resources are also essential.
Leadership Quest Guide applications are due no later than 4pm on Monday, February 8, 2010 and may be submitted to lead@echo.rutgers.edu.
