Our Awards and Recognition Programs celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of individual students, advisors and the organizations they represent. Students are honored for their outstanding leadership and contributions to the campus community and beyond. Student organization faculty/staff advisors are also recognized for their commitment to the groups they advise. Awards are presented by a variety of departments and organizations including Rutgers University Student Life, Rutgers University Student Assembly, the Educational Opportunity Program, and Rutgers Alumni Association.
The Knight in Shining Armor award is designed to recognize, on a monthly basis, students and organizations that go above and beyond their expectations. Some examples of these contributions may be coordinating an event to get students involved in a good cause, excelling in leadership skills, demonstrating ability to reach the diverse campus population, engaging educational initiatives, reaching a milestone accomplishment or award.
The organization chosen for the award will receive a $50 gift certificate from a Student Center vendor for food at a general meeting. The student chosen for the award will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Rutgers University Bookstore.
